Balipara Foundation is one of India's leading conservation NGOs—working to restore forests, biodiversity and indigenous livelihoods across the Eastern Himalaya. Their mission is significant, but their old website was not doing it justice. Outdo was brought in to deliver an NGO website redesign and development project that restructured, rebuilt and continues to support the Foundation's digital platform.
Balipara Foundation has been working in the Eastern Himalaya since 2007 — restoring forests, protecting biodiversity, empowering indigenous communities, and building nature-based livelihoods across Assam and beyond. To date, the Foundation has restored over 13,000 hectares of forest and empowered more than 36,000 people.
The scale of that work deserved a website to match. Instead, Balipara Foundation had a sprawling 200+ page site with no clear navigation, no consistent structure and an average session time of just 15 seconds. The organisation needed a structured conservation NGO website design that could communicate its programmes, research and impact more clearly.
Outdo was brought in to fix that through a complete NGO website development engagement—and to remain as Balipara Foundation's ongoing website maintenance partner through a monthly Web AMC.
Results & Impact
After Balipara Foundation's NGO website redesign and relaunch, the numbers told a clear story—more people finding the site, more new visitors arriving and dramatically more time spent engaging with the Foundation's work.
Need NGO Website Development That Reflects What Your Organisation Actually Does?
Book a call with Outdo and we'll build a clear, scalable website that earns attention for your organisation's work.
Book a Call with Outdo →We started the website development for NGOs process with a full audit of the existing 200+ pages—mapping content, identifying what mattered and defining a clear site architecture. User journeys were mapped to key sections and pages so every visitor had a logical path to follow.
We consolidated Balipara Foundation's sprawling content into a structured, interconnected nonprofit website design, creating clearer programme hierarchies and stronger internal pathways between related content.
We built dedicated showcase pages and a working registration process for the annual Eastern Himalayan Naturenomics Forum (EHNF) — one of the Foundation's flagship events — giving it the digital presence it warranted.
The site was built and launched through WordPress website development for NGOs. Post-launch, Outdo stayed on as Balipara Foundation's maintenance partner, covering website edits, performance monitoring, weekly maintenance, security, and 80-day backup and restore.
The Balipara Foundation project is a good example of what website restructuring can do when the underlying content is strong but the architecture isn't working. The Foundation's programmes, research, and impact were all there — visitors just couldn't find them. A 15-second average session time isn't an engagement problem. It's a navigation problem.
By consolidating 200+ pages into a structured, interconnected site — and mapping user journeys to the content that mattered most — Outdo turned a sprawling archive into a working platform. The results reflect that: traffic up 33%, session time up fourfold, and an engagement rate that shows visitors are now actually reading what they came to find.
For NGOs, foundations and mission-driven organisations with significant work but a website that does not reflect it, Outdo provides NGO website development services that communicate the right information to the right audiences—and keeps those platforms secure and effective through ongoing website maintenance.
